The Fallen
Last day of August my God!
Through the window it comes & bites my foot —
The exhale from the mouth of Winter
as he begins to sink his teeth into my bones.
We will have fallen.
But we will continue to weather
winter meeting our lives at crossroads.
Always knowing the fire blazes around the bend.
So please stay on the path.
